Peter Tash Anestos

Peter Tash Anestos passed away peacefully, with his wife Theresa by his side, at his home in Pocatello, Idaho on April 4th 2021 at the age of 78. Pete, the oldest of four children, was born on Sept 14th, 1942 to Tash & Mavis Anestos in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Pete moved with his family to Athens, Greece in 1951 where his father Tash had been stationed. After high school, he moved back to the US and attended Clemson University in South Carolina, then joined the Air Force in 1964 where he served in Vietnam. Pete married Ardath Coleman in 1967 and his first son Tash was born in 1973. In 1987 Pete was remarried to his current spouse, Theresa Neal, having two loving sons, Pete and Chaz.

Pete developed a love for track and cross country at a young age, winning numerous competitions in high school and college, once clocking a 4:12 mile. Pete's livelihood and hobby was buying and selling vintage apparel. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and one of the greatest trappers in the north-west, a man who enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors at every opportunity. He was a great father who cared deeply about his sons, spending time hunting with Tash, teaching his son Pete soccer, and his son Chaz track & cross-country. He was a caring grandfather who enjoyed spending time with and taking his grandchildren on outdoor adventures. In the evenings, Pete could often be found enjoying a game of poker with friends. He was the greatest storyteller of all and a friend to many.

Pete's father and mother predeceased him, and he is survived by Theresa Anestos (wife), of Pocatello, ID, and his sons Tash (Candace) Anestos, Pete K. Anestos, and Chaz (Molly) Anestos, his brother Harry Anestos, and sisters Catherine (Curtis) Farrar, and Anna Perreira, and his grandchildren Alexandra, Zackery, Triton and Rigel Anestos, and several nieces and nephews.
