Pervis Jones

Pervis “Pete” Jones, 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday December 28, 2008. Pete was born on May 18, 1937 in Craynor, Kentucky to Anthony and Hattie Jones. When he was 3 years old the family moved to Pocatello. He grew up in Pocatello and attended schools here until he joined the Air Force. He served in the Air Force for 4 year and then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad.

He married Patt Boneta and together they had three children; Tracy, Bill & Tony. They were later divorced. In 1972 he married Nadene Day in Elko, Nevada. He raised and loved her three children as his own. Pete was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Union Pacific Old Timers.

Pete loved watching sports, especially when his team, the Miami Dolphins were playing. He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing the guitar around the campfire. He loved hanging out with family more than anything.

The family would like to thank Creekside Hospice for all of their care, with a special thanks to Kristen. They would also like to thank the DaVita Dialysis Center.

Pete is survived by; his wife NaDene, Pocatello; sons, Tony Boneta, Alaska, Bill Boneta, Alaska, Shane Le Roy Hall, Pocatello, Troy Dean Hall, Minnesota; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Lindauer, Pocatello; sisters, Maggie Grotte, Oregon, Mable Lish, Pocatello, Vureida Sanford, Mackay, Pauline Queen, Washington, Charlain Cummins, Boise, Judy Hargrove, Pocatello and Mary Lou Hall, Mackay; brothers, Larry Jones, Pocatello, Rodney Jones, Pocatello; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; his parents; and daughter Tracy.

Funeral services for Pete will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 2, 2009 at the Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday January 3, 2009 at the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd.
