Peggy Jean Clark

August 6, 1936 — April 21, 2018

Peggy Jean Justesen entered this world on August 6, 1936 into the arms of her parents Thelma and Christopher Justesen in Omaha Nebraska. Growing up Peggy was a definite daddy's girl! Her father got on a ship and sailed to America from Denmark as a young man and Peggy was very proud of him and their Danish heritage! She would often brag about being a half "Dane" and would always say that's the reason she's so strong and stubborn!

Peggy was also very pleased of the fact that she was a teenager in the 1950's. A time of hot rods, leather jackets, poodle skirts, jukeboxes, and Elvis Presley who was also Peggy's teenage heartthrob. Peggy would often refer to herself as the "Rizzo" of her teenage years. As a teen Peggy loved to have fun and live life to the fullest! She loved to have parties and dance with her friends and told stories about how her father would rearrange the living room so she and her friends could "cut up"! Peggy was also very close to her red headed brother Jimmy Ball who served in the war and received a Purple Heart. Peggy loved him dearly and thought very highly of him. As a young lady Peggy's parents were members of the Eagles and Peggy danced tap and ballet for the American Legion. Peggy graduated from South High but received her diploma while in the hospital after undergoing a major surgery.

On December 14, 1957 Peggy Jean Justesen became Peggy Jean Justesen Clark when she married the love of her life and husband of 56 years William Peter Clark who was better known as Bill. Bill had a respectable job for the Union Pacific Railroad which often required he and Peggy to move around. Peggy and Bill moved to Missouri where on April 3, 1964 they gave birth to their first son David Allen Clark. They later moved back to Omaha Nebraska where their Daughter Lisa Ann Clark was born on December 31, 1967 and their youngest son Billy Peter Clark Jr. was born on September 12, 1972. Peggy and her family loved to camp and fish and whenever the opportunity arose Peggy enjoyed visiting Jack Pot and Las Vegas! For a while Peggy was a working mom and worked at an airport gift stand and later as a maid for a motel working with her good friend June who Peggy would call "June Bug".

In 1980 Peggy and her family moved once more to Pocatello Idaho where her children graduated high school and got married. Peggy became a grandmother on April 24, 1996 when her daughter Lisa gave birth to Peggy's Granddaughter Crystal Ann Walker. Tragically after a life long battle of Crohn's disease Peggy lost her daughter Lisa on April 14, 2010 and after years of battling cancer Peggy lost her husband Bill on August 4, 2013. Even after these Devastating losses Peggy remained strong and positive! Peggy became a Great Grandmother on August 4, 2015 when her granddaughter Crystal and husband Kade gave birth to her Great grandson Robert Aidyn Elzner and again on August 29, 2017 when her Great grandson Mason Robert Elzner was born.

Peggy loved her family very much and was a very sweet, kind, caring, and accepting person. Once Peggy got to know you she automatically thought of you as a friend and would give you the shirt off her back! Peggy was also an animal lover. She loved Animals of all kinds and would say she always has to have a pet of some kind! She was also a Holliday Freak and loved all holidays! Especially Halloween and Christmas. She'd always go big and was very outgoing with decorating!

In her final days Peggy battled cervical cancer and kidney failure and was helped and cared for by her son Billy. On April 21, 2018 at 1:15 PM Peggy was welcomed back into the loving arms of the Lord. She passed away peacefully and comfortably in the safety and comfort of her home with her youngest son Billy by her side.

Peggy is survived by her Sons David and Billy Clark, her granddaughter Crystal Elzner, and her Great grandsons Aidyn and Mason Elzner. She is preceded in Death by her parents Thelma and Christopher Justesen, her brother James Ball, her Daughter Lisa Ann Baird, and her Husband William Peter Clark.
