Payton Mccaskill

Payton Rose McCaskill, 14, passed away due to a horrible accident Monday, April 9th, at her home. She was born March 1st, 2004 in Norman, OK to Dave McCaskill and Christi McCaskill. She also lived in Utah and Georgia. She loved attending Franklin Middle School.

We lost a beautiful, sweet daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin and friend. She enjoyed spending her time playing volleyball, skiing and hanging out with friends, especially her best friend Lauren, and spending time with her family. She loved ice cream, cotton candy, Winger's, talking like "Miranda Sings", and her dog, Loca. We will always remember Payton's contagious smile, her laugh, and her sweet and silly personality. She was also known for being very kind, fun, athletic, determined, and very funny.

She is survived by her mother, Christi; father, Dave; and brother, Gunner; grandma, Jo "Nana" Behn; adopted grandpa, Dave Paschal; grandpa, John McCaskill; grandma, Marjean Hedstrom; adopted grandma, Cindy Ulrigg; aunt, Julienne McCaskill, and cousin, Alexa Pharis.

Payton was preceded in death by her uncle, Dan McCaskill, uncle, Rob Markegard, and grandpa, Dwaine Markegard.

The family thanks all of Payton's family and friends for the support, phone calls, texts, messages and love.

A viewing will be held on Thursday at 6-8PM at Wilks Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Friday at 1PM at the LDS Chapel on 2100 Satterfield Dr. Her interment will follow at Inkom Cemetery.
