Paula Christiansen of Chubbuck, Idaho, died July 27, 2011 after a short battle with Leukemia.
She was born October 17, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jarl Christiansen and G. Kaye Roberts Christiansen. Paula was raised in Sinclair, Wyoming and graduated from Rawlins High School.
She was a patrol officer for Idaho Highway Patrol and Wyoming Highway Patrol; owned a video store in Lusk, Wyoming; was a certified tax preparer; and most recently worked as a manager for Mountain Range Restaurants.
She was a proud grandmother with a deep love of family, and enjoyed reading, music, hiking, golfing, and simply being outdoors. She brought great joy to family and friends by sharing her humor, quick wit, and love of life.
She received phenomenal care from Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, and the family extends their sincere thanks for the care and compassion provided to Paula and the entire family.
The family also extends heartfelt thanks to Judy Smith for her extraordinary friendship, care and support.
Paula is survived by daughter, Melissa Hood (Tom), grandson Chance, granddaughter Hannah; son, Matthew Dischner (Deserai); mother, Kaye Roberts; brothers Russell Christiansen (Marge) and Morley Christiansen (Lisa); sisters Linda Yetter (Ken) and Pennie Weir (Kirk); and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and her step-brother.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
