Paul T. Burke

Paul T. Burke, 68, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was born at the St. Anthony Hospital in Pocatello, ID on August 1, 1949 to Wilbur and Norma Burke. He attended Idaho State University earning an Electricians Degree. He lived in Pocatello, ID most of his life with 3 years living in Salt Lake City, UT in the early 1970s. Paul married Charlene Joan Cox in 1966. Paul worked at Talmation of Salt Lake from 1972-1974, AMI from 1974-1976, Pinkerton Guard for Bucyrus Erie from 1976-1977, and J.R. Simplot from 1977-2015. His beliefs were in Science / Evolution. Paul enjoyed camping, cooking, electronics, Audiophile, Classical Music especially Mahler, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. Paul is survived by his children Robert L. Burke, Steven T. Burke, Charlyn A. Burke, Michael J. Burke, all of Pocatello, ID; raised grandson, Jared T. Burke, Pocatello, ID; sisters, Mona A. Taylor, Chubbuck, ID, Jean Marie Burke, Meridian, ID; brothers, Chester L. Burke, Bremerton, WA, Phillip C. Burke, Pocatello, ID; 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Joan Burke; father, Wilbur L. Burke; mother, Norma S. Burke; and sister, Sylvia L. Burke. A Memorial Celebration will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 between 3 and 8 pm at Pauls home. Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID, is caring for Pauls family.
