Paul Merritt Redd, 58, passed away on September 8, 2018 in Denver, CO, surrounded by his family; following a long battle with cancer. Paul was born December 6, 1959 in Lethbridge Alberta Canada, to John Paul and Sherrill Drake Redd. Paul grew up in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1978. At Poky he was Senior Choir President. He was a member of the LDS church and served a mission to Guayaquil, Ecuador from 1978 to 1980. Paul attended BYU and graduated with a degree in Business Management in 1984. He met Debbie Allen at BYU; they married July 3, 1981 in the Idaho Falls temple. They moved to Denver and he worked for Insurance Specialists for 16 years as a project manager. Three children were born to the marriage. They later divorced. Paul also worked one year at E-Deploy, and 16 years at Transamerica Financial Advising. Paul married Christine Cloutier MacIntosh on October 18, 2002. Paul was an Eagle Scout and served in many different callings, including ordinance worker in the Denver temple. His favorite calling in the church was teaching. Paul loved golf, softball, music and singing. He wrote and published several books. His greatest love was family and the Savior Jesus Christ. Paul is survived by his wife, Christine; children, Stacey (Jake) Redd-Sadovsky, Ashley (Michael) Cowan, Mark (Tawny), Christy (Clay) Bock; 8 grandchildren; parents, John and Sherrill; siblings, John (Jacalyn), Jane (Val) Gunnell, Susan (Jeff) McCain, Becky (Garth) Mitton, Diane (Ted) Schow, Phillip (Cherry Ann), Andrew (Angie). Pauls viewing will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Services will be on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 11 am at the LDS Church, 42 Princeton Ave. Pocatello, ID 83201, ( Pocatello E. Stake Bldg. Terry & Princeton St.) with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am prior. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
