Paul Leon Newbold, 83, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Paul was born in Downey, Idaho on February 9, 1932 to Harold & Louise Newbold. He graduated in 1950 and in 1955 began working at FMC as a laborer. Paul worked his way up the ladder to assistant operations manager. Paul retired in 1989 after 34 years of employment.
Paul served during the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge from the Army.
On October 14, 1955 he married Loretta Rees. This October they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Paul coached little league baseball for 13 years and football for seven years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandkids and wife, Loretta. He enjoyed many hunting trips with his sons, sons-in-law and grandsons. He always supported his granddaughters in all their adventures.
Paul is survived by: wife, Loretta Newbold, Chubbuck; daughter, Diana Barrus, Inkom; son, Paul Newbold Jr., Chubbuck; sisters, Cleo Odom, Payette, Lavora Christopherson, Wendell, Kay Morris, Downey, Bardee Tolman, Pocatello; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Harold Newbold, Henry Newbold, Boyd Newbold, Doyle Newbold, Richard Newbold; son-in-law, Golden "Bo" Barrus Sr.; and great-grandson, Kaden Foxx Newbold Lucio.
Funeral services for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday August 3rd, 2015 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wilksfuneralhome.com.
