Paul Junior Wilson, 93, and longtime resident of Chubbuck, passed away peacefully at his home on February 19, 2019.
Paul was born on April 8, 1925 in Wyco, West Virginia to William David and Callie (Dowel) Wilson.
Paul joined the U.S. Navy when he was 17, and faithfully served his country. He was a D-Day survivor and received two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star during his WWII service.
Paul's family moved to Chubbuck in 1956. He was a retired Iron worker. At the age of 75, he started working again for Walmart in the Maintenance Dept. He proudly held this job up to the time of his death. He loved working at Walmart and meeting all the people over the years. Paul is a Christian.
Paul is survived by his four sons, Michael Wilson, Twin Falls; Larry Wilson, Nampa; Leonard Wilson, Las Vegas; Jerry Wilson, Chubbuck; and numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Phylis Wilson; father, mother and 3 brothers.
Funeral services were held at 10 AM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. A viewing was held Friday evening from 5-7 PM and at 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. His interment followed the services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, where Military Rites were provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
