Patricia “Pat” Marie Hill, 87, peacefully passed away at her home in Pocatello on December 3, 2024.
She was born on October 1, 1937, to Imaretta Frances Matthews and Elmer Roy Reynolds in Pocatello, the third of six children. Pat attended schools in Pocatello.
Pat worked as a bartender at many places in town and worked for Pocatello School District 25 in grounds-keeping for many years.
One day, Pat and her sister Gloria were unloading furniture to Pat’s new place when a friendly face by the name of Reynold “Rey” Hill stopped and asked if he could help. Pat and Rey used to play Cowboys and Indians together as kids, with her brother Nicky. Pat was ALWAYS the one getting tied up. Neither of them realized that many years later, they would fall in love and spend 37 beautiful years together.
Pat loved life. She spent time in a bowling league and playing pool. She also loved riding horses, butterflies, camping and fishing at Toponce Creek, gambling at Fort Hall, sitting around the fire and sharing stories, and watching wrestling on T.V. Growing up, Pat’s parents would rent out the Armory for wrestling events, many well-known wrestlers came through Pocatello, one of her favorites was Andre the Giant.
If you asked Pat what she loved the most? She would quickly say her family. Pat loved every single family member and person who came into her life. Her passing leaves a huge void in the lives of so many.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Imaretta Reynolds, her sweetheart Reynold “Rey” Hill; brothers Nicholas “Nicky” Reynolds and Darrel Reynolds; daughter Anna Marie who passed away at nine months old, and stepson Randy Hill.
