Patricia "Ellen" Anderson

Patricia "Ellen" Anderson, 86, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015. After suffering 7 years from an auto/pedestrian accident, she has returned to her Heavenly Father and reunited with her spouse, Dr. C. LeRoy "Roy" Anderson, after a 25 year separation. Ellen was born in Chester, West Virginia on April 6, 1929 to Harry and Alma Frasher Friley. After graduating high school, she worked for a short time and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she met Roy. They were married on June 26, 1954 at Hernando, Mississippi. This marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in April, 1971. Ellen graduated with an Elementary Education degree from ISU and taught 2 nd grade while Roy went to Dental School. Ellen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities, including Primary and Relief Society President and her favorite calling as a Blazer leader. She loved reading, working and anything to do with her family. She loved cooking meals and having family come together. Ellen is survived by her two sons, Michael L. (Maureen) Anderson of Shelley and John Anderson of Boise; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy, her parents, and siblings, Lester, Willis, Wayne, and Lillian. A viewing will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 10-11 AM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. 208-233-1500. Funeral services will start at 11 AM also at Colonial.
