Oma Lee Green

Oma Lee Armstrong Green 80, passed away on November 14, 2011. She was born August 24, 1931 to David and Gertrude Denton Parris in Marsh Center Idaho. Oma Lee graduated from Arimo High School in 1949. She married Ray Armstrong June 29, 1949 in Robin Idaho. They had four children, Cynthia Nelson (Stewart) of Inkom Idaho, Randall Armstrong (Paige), Inkom, Robert Armstrong (Ninetta), La Grande Oregon, Kim Peterson (Monte), Blackfoot Idaho. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many calling in the church. She particularly loved serving the young women and the sisters in her ward. Oma Lee was an expert, self taught, seamstress. She made beautiful clothes and made a special quilt for each graduating grandchild. She enjoyed gardening and canning. A family favorite was her green relish. Camping with family and friends was a much loved pastime. Alturas Lake, with the Wolfe's, was a fun tradition. She spent most of her time with her family, never missing a sporting event, dance recital or any other activity involving her children and grandchildren. She married Wilford J. Green on January 7, 1989. From that marriage she inherited 5 daughters, Kaye (Don) Miller, Wieser, Id, Vera Knox, Okamos, Michigan, Wilma (William) Zink, Salt Lake City, Betty Steen American Falls, Barbara (Dennis) Jensen, Smithfield, UT. Oma Lee and Wilford served two mission for their church; Sacramento California and Fort Hall Idaho. They spent many wonderful years traveling the roads in their 5 th wheel exploring America and spending winters in Arizona. She is survived by her husband, the aforementioned children and a sister Elaine Leavitt of Kearns Utah. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ray, her parents, her brother Val Dean Parris and two grandsons, Stewart Nelson Jr. and Kutter Mingo Nelson. A special thanks goes to the staff at Elegant Assisted Living and Creekside Home Health for their exceptional care and love shown to Oma Lee. Funeral services will held Saturday November 19 th at 11:00 a.m. in the Skyline LDS Ward, Inkom with Bishop Jeff Wright conducting. The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 18 th 6 pm to 8 pm at the Inkom Snow Peak building (new chapel) and from 10:00 am to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will follow at the Inkom cemetery.
