Nyle Dean Pabawena Sr.

Nyle Dean Pabawena Sr., 57, of Fort Hall, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at a local health care center in Pocatello, Idaho. Nyle was born to Ben and Jessie (Pocatello) Pabawena on November 2, 1958 in Pocatello, Idaho. He lived his whole life around the Fort Hall area, attending schools at Tyhee Elementary and Hawthorne Jr. High and Highland High school. He then attended Stewart Indian Boarding School in Nevada and then went to SIPI in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nyle returned back to Pocatello, Idaho where he earned his GED. Nyle married Debbie Smith in 1980 and to that union came 7 children; daughters, Julie, Kimberly, Rhonda and Amber; 3 sons, Nyle Jr., Kyle and Arlyn. Nyle worked at different jobs; Idaho Gem, Barley Plants in Idaho Falls, was a Firefighter and also worked at Wada Farms. During his spare time he liked to go hunting, fishing and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Pabawena of Ft. Hall; his 4 daughters, Julie of Albion, OK, Kimberly of SLC, UT, Rhonda of Kuna, Idaho and Amber of Pocatello, ID; 3 sons, Nyle Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID, Kyle of Albion, OK and Arlyn of Ft. Hall, ID; sisters, Teresa P. Little Finger of Pine Ridge, SD, and Colleen P Walker of Albion, OK; nephew, Glen Bird of Ft. Hall, ID; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Nyle was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Jessie Pabawena; brother, Maurice Pabawena and a son, Aaron Pabawena. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Noon at the Cedar Cemetery located at the west end of Reservation Road in Fort Hall. There will be two visitations, first at Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. and then the next day on Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 10-11:00 A.M. also at Colonial Funeral Home.
