In 1964, his family moved to Seaside, Oregon, where he created many memories of fishing, hiking, clam digging, clambakes, and surfing. Norm graduated high school in Seaside in 1973.

Connie and Norm married on November 22, 1980, and had a daughter, Crystal Tiamaria on March 9, 1982. The family enjoyed countless adventures traveling, time at the gun range, camping with relatives, and especially fishing on the Palisades Reservoir. Norm loved engaging in political discussions with anyone willing to chat. He was also a passionate foodie, always eager to try new recipes for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Norm’s joy came from spending his days with his grandchildren Issac Michael and Taylor Leahgene. He adored his children, and children he was always great at creating way to have constant interaction with them, staying involved in their busy lives.

Norm's playful banter, adventurous spirit, loving heart, and arms will be greatly missed and forever in our hears of many more dear family and friends.
