Norma Helen Haney Worth was born March 11, 1921 in Greenville, South Carolina to Albert Jason and Lessie Annette Welch Haney. She had two brothers, Albert and James. She attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello Sr. High in 1939. While growing up, she enjoyed visiting with extended family members, especially summer visits to her Aunt and Uncle, Willard and Mamie Andersen's home in Arbon Valley. She married Grant Thomas Worth on October24, 1942 in Pocatello, Idaho. All preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Nancy Robinson Kingman, Arizona, Karen and Don Jacobs Denver, Colorado, Grant Worth San Antonio, Texas, Susan and Dwight Tilley Goshen, Idaho, Bonnie and Brad Kofoed Denver, Colorado, Albert and Martha Worth, Pocatello, Idaho. She also has fifteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Norma was employed in Pocatello as a Long-Distance Telephone Operator by Mountain Bell from 1945 to 1985. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she taught Sunday School and Primary for seventeen years. She also served in the Relief Society as secretary. She loved gardening and won blue ribbons for her flowers at local fairs. Her passion for books and reading were equal to her love of raising dogs, oil painting, flower arranging, crocheting and piano. She started guitar lessons at the age of sixty-five. She completed various computer courses and a Real Estate course. After retiring from Mountain Bell, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Bannock Memorial Hospital, in the Gift Shop. She also had a great fondness for the Nursery. She regularly attended concerts and plays with her friends. She traveled to her daughter, Bonnie and Brad Kofoed's homes, in Washington and Denver, where she loved spending time with her grandkids and shopping. Her family would like to express their appreciation to her visiting teachers, home teachers, ministers, family, friends, Rosetta Assisted Living Home and Brio Home Health for the dedicated care of their loved one. She passed away November 20, 2019 at Rosetta Assisted Living Home in Pocatello, Idaho, from natural causes at the age of ninety-eight. A family gathering is scheduled on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 5:30 to 6 pm with a viewing from 6 to7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Interment will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11 am at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
