Nora Rae Peterson, 87, of Pocatello, beloved wife, mother and friend was surrounded by loved ones as she passed away on August 10, 2012 from Alzheimers. Nora was born August 27, 1924, in Rigby, Idaho, to Lafeyette and Ellen Elizabeth Taylor Anderson. She grew up in the Clark area and graduated from Rigby High School as Valedictorian. Nora married George H Peterson on November 19, 1941, in Rigby, Idaho, together they raised six wonderful children. Nora enjoyed life at their cabin in Island Park year round. She loved bowling on the women's league at Pine Bowl for many years, and was a member of the Highland 3 rd Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is survived by two daughters Cheryl (Martin) Foster of Evanston, WY, Susan Peterson Kuta of Pocatello; two sons Gregory (Tammy) Peterson of Pocatello, Douglas (SaDee) Peterson of Pocatello; one sister LeAnn Miller of Idaho Falls; two brothers, Jack Anderson and Boyd Anderson both of Idaho Falls; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Connie, Husband George, son Steven, daughter Shannon, brothers Ivan, Dick, sisters, Mayda, Claira, Edna, Lila. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at the Highland LDS 3 rd Ward, located at the corner of Butte and Hiskey Roads, with Bishop Schow presiding. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family Monday, August 13, 2012, from 6 pm. to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave, and also one hour prior to the services at the church.
