Nina Christine Sparks

Nina Christine Sparks, 67, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born to V. Joan (Henning) and Gordon M. Sparks in Pocatello, on September 15, 1950. She attended schools in Pocatello graduating from Pocatello High School in 1970. After graduation, she worked a few summers at Coulter Bay in Teton National Park and a resort in Arizona. She returned to Pocatello working at A&W and Bannock Memorial Hospital. She was hired at Hillcrest Convalescent Center where she earned her CNA and worked until her retirement. She touched the lives of many and talked fondly of the residents she cared for. One of Christines greatest joys was becoming a mother; in February 1974 when her son, Randy, was born. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family. Some of her favorite places included Bear Lake, High Five, Disneyland, Zions National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. Christine is survived by her son, Randy Sparks of Pocatello; siblings, Michael (Lucinda) Sparks of West Jordan, Utah, Caryn (Fred) Sistrunk of Pocatello, Richard Sparks of Pocatello, and Lucille Sparks of Pocatello; along with a niece and several nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, V. Joan Henning Sparks, Gordon M. Sparks; nephew, Jared B. Sparks; and great-nephew, Jesse D. Sistrunk. A graveside dedication will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Pocatello, ID. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the services at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave., Pocatello, ID.
