Nicole “Niki” Marie Brinton entered this world on January 15, 1982 in Auburn, California to her parents, Steve and Kik Fallon. The family is saddened to announce her passing on August 11, 2023. She was surrounded by her devoted husband, Patrick Brinton, and family at Portneuf Medical Center. Niki suffered many health issues over the years and succumbed to those complications early Friday morning.
Niki spent her childhood and youth in Auburn, CA with her parents and two brothers, Tim and Jeff whom she adored. Niki was an amazing daughter, sibling ,Niece, cousin and friend throughout her childhood and her life. She attended Lincoln Way Elementary School, E.V. Cain Jr High, and graduated as one of 6 valedictorians at Del Oro High School. Niki was an avid and very talented basketball player throughout her childhood and teenage years. Basketball was her life! Niki’s father, Steve, served as her basketball coach for many years. She was offered many scholarship opportunities and recruitments for her talent.
After high school, Niki, attended Sierra Jr. College for a short while and eventually made the decision to move to Orem, Utah where she could fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. Niki graduated with a bachelors from Utah Valley University with a major in Elementary Education with an emphasis on early childhood development. Niki served as an elementary school teacher for the last 16 years. Her favorite grade to teach was first. Teaching was Niki’s calling in life. She made such an impact on all her students and those she worked with.
While living in Orem, Niki met the love her life Patrick Brinton. The two married on April 7, 2007 in Auburn, CA. After Niki graduated from UVU, she and Pat spent time in Idaho Falls, ID and then eventually moved back to Auburn where she would give birth to her first and only beautiful baby boy, James Patrick Brinton. In 2010, Niki and Pat moved back to Idaho Falls, ID where they welcomed baby girl, Brooke Nicole Brinton. Niki and Pat eventually moved to Pocatello, ID for Pat to pursue his career as a structural engineer. This is where Niki began her final career path as a 1st grade teacher at Indian Hills Elementary.
Niki will be remembered for her fun-loving personality and quick wit. She was always the life of the party.
Niki is survived by her husband, Patrick, her two children, James (14) and Brooke (12), her parents, Steve and Kik Fallon, her two brothers, Tim, and Jeff and many loving family members.
Services will be held at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W Chubbuck Rd. Chubbuck, ID 83202 on August 17th, 2023 at 2:00 PM with a visiting hour at 1:00 PM. The family has set up a GoFundMe account under Nicole “Niki” Marie Brinton. Donations are not expected by greatly appreciated.
