Nickcole D. Mahan

Nickcole Diane Mahan passed away suddenly Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Portneuf Medical Center. She was born on June 30, 1976 in Pocatello, Idaho. Her parents are J.D. (Joel DaMaughn) and Kathy Tubbs, who later divorced.

Nicky attended Jefferson Elementary, Irving Jr High and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1994. She married Dwayne Mahan but later divorced him before reuniting with the love of her life and soulmate Mike Jensen. Mike and Nicky were together for seven years before he passed away. Nicky had worked for Dairy Queen, Arctic Circle and Convergys before becoming disabled.

Nicky took great satisfaction and pride in her three children, Michael (Cami) Mahan, Aizlynn Mahan and Jameson Mahan (Crystal Lake). She was so excited and had been anticipating the very near arrival of her very first grand baby, Dresden Copperfield Mahan. She also claimed Cami’s son Joshua as her grandson. Nicky was the happiest if she was holding a baby and loved to cuddle those little ones.

Nicky is survived by her three children, her mother Kathy Newsom Tubbs (Wade) Mooso, her siblings Angela (Cynthia) Tubbs, Joel (JoLynn) Tubbs, Brian (Cassi) Tubbs, Karl (Paula) Tubbs and Kourtney (Justin) Holder. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews that she loved and enjoyed giving them a bad time. She will be missed by many including her close friend Tasha Cutler who has been a great support for Nicky & Aizlynn during this last year.

She was preceded in death by her soulmate Mike Jensen, her father J.D. (Joel DaMaughn) Tubbs, both sets of her grandparents DaMaughn & Nelda Tubbs, Earshel (Jack) & Jean Newsom.
