Nicholas "Nick" Scott Collins, 36, of Boise, died August 28, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 18, 1981 in Pocatello, ID, the son of Russell and Pamela (Hawkes) Collins. Nick attended school in Pocatello and later attained his GED in Boise. Nick worked various trades throughout his adult years, including roofing, building, welding and fighting fires. Nick was baptized into the LDS church at the age of 8. Nick grew up loving the outdoors and spent his childhood fishing at the creek near his home, hunting and boating with his family, catching critters, shooting birds in his back yard, and exploring the land near his home. His greatest love and accomplishments were his two children who were the center of his world. Nick is survived by his daughter, Taushlyn Marie (18), son, Nicholas Russell (9); mother, Pamela and John Whiting (stepfather); sister, Katie (Ethan) Mulalley. He also leaves behind grandparents, Wayne (Jane) Hawkes, Allen (Linda) Collins, Cyrena (Carwin) Egbert; aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and many beloved friends. Nick is preceded in death by his father, Russell; aunt, Teri; grandmother, Frances "Punky"; and great-grandparents. The family will welcome visitors for a viewing on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Highland 10 th Ward Chapel, 2925 Michelle St. Pocatello, ID, with a viewing for one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
