Nedra Allen

Nedra Pack Allen 87, returned to her heavenly home on November 3, 2017.

Nedra was born December 6, 1929 in Goshen, Idaho to Leland Newton Pack and Eva Richardson. Nedra was the oldest of four children including, Phylis (Tonks), Richard Pack, and Joan (Walker). As a child, Nedra lived in Butte, Montana, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Pocatello, Idaho. Nedra graduated from Pocatello High School, and played the violin with the Idaho State University Symphony.

Nedra married Thomas Allen September 14, 1948 in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. They just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Nedra was a very active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many church callings. She loved music, art, sewing, etc., and shared her talents with all she came in contact with.

Nedra is preceded in death by her parents Leland and Eva Pack, and her brother Richard "Dick" Pack, and one great granddaughter Ella Lucille Allen. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Allen of Island Park, Idaho, son James T. Allen (Kathy) of Franklin, Idaho, daughter JoAnn Haroldsen (Allen) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, son Paul L. Allen (Lora) of St. Anthony, Idaho, son Roy E. Allen (Cheryl) of Chubbuck, Idaho, daughter Cheryl Ekstrom (Scott) of Anchorage, Alaska, son Michael R. Allen (Christina) of Tucson, Arizona, son Stephen L. Allen (Jenae') of Pocatello, Idaho, daughter Annette West of Boise, Idaho, daughter Linda Rials (Jake) of St. Anthony, Idaho, daughter Norma J. Bell (Jeffrey) of Chubbuck, Idaho. Nedra and Tom have 46 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

There will be a viewing on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00PM at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. Chubbuck, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 11, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Chubbuck LDS 1st Ward Building, 4775 Hawthorne Road, at the corner of Chubbuck and Hawthorne Roads in Chubbuck, Idaho. There will be a viewing from 12:30 – 1:30PM before the funeral services at the church. Burial will be at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello, Idaho.
