Natalie Scott Dowdle, 48, of Pocatello Idaho passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 23, 2017 due to complications from cancer.
Natalie was born in Salt Lake City to Dennis and Juliene Scott and grew up Bountiful, Utah . She attended school in Bountiful, graduating from Viewmont High in 1987 and graduating from LDS Business College in 1991.
Natalie married Kevin Marritt Dowdle August 29, 1991 in the Salt Lake Temple and they began their marriage while living in Bountiful, Utah. They moved to Meridian, Idaho for 17 years in 1996 and more recently moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 2013. They have two sons, Travis Dowdle and Ryan Dowdle. She worked off and on at various medical offices throughout her career, but her true passion was that of her kids and family. She loved people and they loved her back. She, unlike anyone else, could get people to open up to her without threatening them—she loved her friends and family and loved to find the details of their lives. She always had time for close friends and wanted to make profound connections with others. She and her family loved to travel and wanted to spend time at the beach most of all. She had a great vision of what she wanted for her family to be like, the closeness, the honesty, the real core of what living the Gospel of Jesus Christ meant for her. She loved serving others and felt at peace when diagnosed with cancer in 2014. Above all she didn't want this disease to define her and not to have bitterness in her outlook on life. So by every standard that could be measured she excelled in the things that mattered most. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on forever.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Portneuf Cancer Center in Pocatello Idaho; they truly have a world class staff.
