POCATELLO-Nancy Cobia, 47, of Pocatello, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her home of natural causes. Nancy was born to Grady and Marie (Thyberg) Cobia on March 30, 1964 in Leesville, Louisiana. Her family then moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she attended Alameda Junior High and later received her GED and furthered her education in Political Science at ISU. She was a devout bachelorette. She worked as a librarian in Chubbuck, Idaho. Nancy also was employed by the K&B Quick Stop, but most recently she was disabled due to her severe diabetes. As a child she was a member of the LDS Church. She loved music, movies, reading, electronics, built her own computer. She was a world traveler and lived in Canada and traveled Europe and Eastern Europe. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Dickman of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Barry Cobia of Casper, Wyoming, Kelly Cobia and Scott (Jinann) Cobia all from Pocatello, Idaho; a very close friend, Teresa Remer and family also of Pocatello and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kathy Palmer as well as her grandparents. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
