Naida Johnson Braegger, age 71, passed away on November 3 rd , 2012, at her home, Pocatello, Idaho. She was born on July 4 th , 1941 in Pocatello, Idaho to Reuel H. Johnson and A., Lucile Myers Johnson. She attended school in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. She married her sweetheart Gary Jay Braegger on November 14, 1959 at her parents home. This marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with seven children, one deceased. Naida's greatest joys in her life were her husband, children, family and friends. She was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many positions including President of the Relief Society, President of the Primary, and Counselor in Young Womens. She taught in every organization of the church including Primary, Young Womens, Relief Society, Sunday School, Secretary and Temple Classes. Naida was an avid reader and collector. She worked for twenty five years in the Adult Basic Education program at Idaho State University. She had many good friends and was a good friend in return. She loved her country and was happy to admit and proud that she'd been born on the 4 th of July. She loved camping with her husband and family in beautiful Copper Basin. It was her favorite place on earth. She also loved doing genealogy and scrap booking. She taught us much about courage and strength during her battle with cancer. Survivors include her children: Toni (Wayne) Elison of Chubbuck, Idaho; Tracy (Douglas) Burton of Idaho Falls; Clint (Kimberly) Braegger, of Pocatello, Idaho; Holly (Bryan) Griffeth of Logan, Utah; Justin (Denise) Braegger of Parker, Colorado, DeeAnn (Stephen) Lombard of Pocatello, Idaho, 19 granchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Kerry (Carolyn) Johnson of Chubbuck, Idaho, Robert Leon Johnson of Las Vegas and 2 sisters, Diane (Rees) Crockett of Idaho Falls; Christine (Walker) Stumbo of Pocatello, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Braegger, her infant son and great granddaughter and her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the LDS 3 rd Ward Chapel, 225 Oakwood Dr. Bishop Gary Davis conducting. A viewing will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave, and also one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow services at Mountain View Cemetery.
