Flora "Nadene" Warf Callister returned to her Heavenly Father September 28, 2014.
Nadene was born to Sylvia Rose Allen Warf and Lee Burners Warf in American Falls on December 7, 1927. She was the 5th of 7 siblings which have preceded her. She truly loved her brothers and sisters and had many fond memories of them. Her childhood was quite adventurous. At the age of 11 she was asked to help cook meals for her dad and other workers while farming at their ranch in the Persimeri area. She took that responsibility seriously and became an excellent cook. Later the rest of her family living in Boise moved to the ranch.
When the children were older the family would rent a house in Salmon for the school year. Nadene met William Edwards while in high school. They were married and worked with family on the Edward's cattle ranch and later moved to a ranch at Fourth of July Creek near North Fork. They were the parents of 4 children. Darla Cutler (Pocatello, ID), Richard (Ruth) Edwards (Rupert, ID), twins Jay (Rhonda) Edwards (Salmon, ID), and Kay (Duane) Hall (Pocatello, ID).
Years later William and Nadene divorced and she moved to Pocatello, ID. She married Joseph Maravilla and they were the parents of Kim Maravilla (Jesse) (Boise, ID). They moved to Boise and then to Declo where they operated a barber shop and recreation hall. Joe's life was taken in an automobile accident when Kim was 8 years old.
In 1985 Nadene married Roy Callister and lived in Declo,ID. In 1995 they moved to Pocatello, ID. Roy passed away on July 4, 1999.
Even with the many trials she faced in life she brightened others with a quick sense of humor and a positive attitude. She devoted her life to her family. She loved her children. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the primary and was a faithful visiting teacher. She loved her church.
Funeral Services will be held Friday October 3rd, 2014 at 11:00 at the Chubbuck 9th Ward Building 4773 Independence St., Chubbuck, Idaho with Bishop Tory Bosworth conducting. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Falls View Cemetery, American Falls, Idaho.
We as a family would like to give a special thanks to those who cared for Nadene during her stay at Caring Hearts. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com.
