Nada "Jo" Walsh

Nada “Jo” Walsh passed away peacefully August 6, 2021 at her home in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born in Beloit, Kansas in 1944 and is the second daughter of Max and Margaret Paulsen. She lived in North Platte through her high school years where she met her high school sweetheart Terry Walsh. After high school Jo obtained her cosmetology certificate and soon married Terry. They had three children together and the family moved from Nebraska to Pocatello in the early 1970’s. Jo worked many jobs including AMI Semiconductors, Big O Tires, Idaho State University Vocational Department, Idaho State University Dental Hygiene, and also was the book keeper for the family contracting business CM Construction.

Jo was very caring and accepting of others and enjoyed getting to know people. She was very meticulous about her home, cooking, and yard and was the glue that held the family together. She loved spoiling her dog Maggie and all her furry grand dogs. Holiday gatherings with her family, barbeques with beer, laughter, golfing, and traveling with family and friends were times she cherished. Some of her fondest memories included yearly family and friends ski trips, trips to Jackpot, Hawaii, Europe, Arizona, and Nebraska. She treasured time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, family, and all her furry friends. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Jo is survived by one sister Karen Geiger (Larry) daughters Melissa Henesh (Mike), Melanie Hill (Rafael Duque), Traci Walsh (Joe Howell), eighteen wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Terry Walsh, son Michael Walsh, sister in-law Dona McIntosh, and niece Ranelle McIntosh.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday August 13, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Clarion Inn in Pocatello.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Quail Ridge, Portneuf Wound Care, and Heritage Home Health and Hospice for taking such great care of her.
