Myrna Rae Anderson Gravatt, 78, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Ivins, UT. She was born February 2, 1938 in Aberdeen, Idaho to Kenneth Leroy and Elva Westover Anderson. She grew up in Aberdeen where she was a cheerleader and graduated from Aberdeen High School. It was here that she met her husband, Darwin Gravatt. They were married June 8, 1956 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. Together they raised 5 children in Pocatello where she worked for First Security Bank, Dr. Sharp and Dr. Merkley, and then Dr. R. Glenn McMinn as an office manager. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the primary, young women, and relief society presidencies. She was always serving her community and loved to spend time with her family, in which she found her greatest joy. She loved growing up in Aberdeen where her family was close. She loved to garden, quilt and bake cookies. She served an LDS mission with her husband in the Des Moines, Iowa Mission. She is survived by her children, Layne Gravatt (Charlotte) Shelley, Idaho, Jill Burns (Doug) Ivins, Utah, Eric Gravatt (Laurie) Ammon, Idaho, Troy Gravatt, Jackpot, Nevada, and Jeanine Wilson (Craig) Allen, Texas; 33 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Kannetta Meadows (Richard); and one brother, Neil Anderson (Debbie). She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Gravatt; and parents, Kenneth and Elva Anderson. Services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11 am at the LDS church, 225 Oakwood Dr, Pocatello, ID 83204 with a viewing for one hour prior starting at 10 am. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6-8pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201. Interment will follow in Aberdeen, Idaho.
