Myril Ray Hobson Tauscher, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Pocatello, Idaho, on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
Myril was born May 17, 1926 and raised in Young Ward, Logan, Utah. She is the daughter of Ray E. Jensen and Selma Andersen. She was the 5th of 7 children. As a young girl Myril was involved in many activities, including 4H and showed prized winning Herford bulls. She was featured as the only young female to show bulls in Life Magazine. She also loved to ice skate and dance.
Albert "Hobby" Newton Hobson and Myril were married on September 21, 1945 in Pocatello, Idaho. They were blessed with 4 daughters, Sharon (Howard Howell), Lenna (Richard Barber), Renee (Mark Neider) and Coy Koshka.
Hobby and Myril were lifelong residents of Pocatello, Idaho where they owned and ran Hobson's Jewelry and Roy's Western Wear in Old Town Pocatello.
Hobby passed away in 1976. Myril married Tom Tauscher on November 16, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tom loved and faithfully took care of her until her death.
Myril loved sewing and creating. She took great pride in her appearance. Her home, her closet and her four little girls all reflected her abilities and talents. She enjoyed golfing and sports cars. Her garden was always a showcase. She taught ballroom dance at ISU and was known to tell her students, "It's all about the connection son. It's all about the connection."
She is survived by her husband Tom, her daughters Sharon, Renee and Coy, 16 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by brothers Gail and Neal.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hobby, her daughter Lenna, her grandson Mark Brant, her parents, brothers Marriner, Van and sisters Doris and Hope.
A private family celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 with internment at Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Home.
