Michael T. Hoff, husband, father, grandfather, often called “Mikey” by his family and friends left this world a few weeks after being diagnosed with cancer to join his lord and savior on November 29th, 2024 at the age of 63 surrounded by his family. Michael was born on April 22nd, 1961 in Moab, UT to Vernal T. and Wanda Hoff. Michael was the middle child and only boy of the Hoff family. Later Vernal moved the family to Soda Springs where they were all raised. He graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1979 and started attending ISU that same year. He graduated from ISU in 1982 with an associates degree in drafting and immediately started working at Bithell Engineering.
In 1986 while working at Bithell Engineering he met his future wife Tammie, who worked in the same office complex. They married August 8th 1988 in Pocatello Idaho where he spent the rest of his life working hard and providing for his family. He said his greatest joy was getting married and having his two kids Crystal and Brady. He loved watching his kids and grandkids at their different activities. He was super proud of all of them and their accomplishments. He was a hard worker who hated missing work and rarely did. He worked as a draftsman for his entire life at various companies alongside his co-workers who loved working with him.
He loved riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, he loved playing golf, watching football, shooting archery, hunting, camping, fishing especially with his wife and sons. He loved watching Stephen King Movies and reading his books and watching the sci-fi channel. He had a knack for drawing and created many beautiful drawings for his family and friends. He liked to build little model cars with his children, he liked playing with blocks and remote control cars with his granddaughter. He was excellent at building things for his family and friends, so many beautiful projects.
He was a man of very few words but he loved all of us and had a big heart (kinda like the grinch, maybe that's why he liked the grinch so much).
Michael is survived by his wife Tammie M. Hoff; his daughter Crystal Hoff (Matthew) Gibson; his sons Brady Hoff (Megan Browning), Brandon Spencer (Meagan Kelsey); his grandchildren Grace, Caleb, & Kathryn; his mother Wanda Jeppesen; his sisters Julie (Evan) Russell & Cindy (John) Thompson; Brother-In-Laws Casey (Shelley) Cox & Shaune (Annie) Cox, & 7 nephews, 3 nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Vernal T. Hoff.
The family will have a celebration of life for Michael on December 28th 12pm-4pm at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building 300 N Johnson Ave, Pocatello, ID 83204.
