Melinda Ann Marinelli

Melinda Ann Marinelli, born May 16, 1960, in Seattle Washington, died on April 28, 2024 in Pocatello Idaho. Melinda was only 63 years old but left a lasting impression on the place she called home for many years.

Melinda was an Escrow officer at Alliance Title & Escrow Corporation for over 30 years. Prior to that she was a server at a popular (now closed restaurant). Melinda’s gift of being personable and friendly was equal only to her work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to help other people. Whether they were waiting for their food or buying a home, everyone received gold star treatment from Melinda. If you were to go anywhere with Melinda, you had to plan extra time because people were always excited to see her and wanted to stop and visit for “just a few minutes.” As the disease of Alzheimer’s progressed, Melinda might not have remembered people’s names but she still greeted them with enthusiasm and warmth.

Melinda’s many colleagues, neighbors and friends, were considered family to her. They all reciprocated that feeling and she was known as Aunt Milly to many. They will all miss her and her admonition to “don’t ever break the spaghetti!”. She is also survived by her mother, Paulena Bury (Kennewick WA) and siblings Becky Fahey (Portland OR) , Theresa Rossman (Bend OR) and Mark Marinelli (San Antonio TX) She was also well loved by aunts and uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews through out the US.

A memorial service will be from 4-6 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck Idaho. 

Prior to her passing, Melinda requested that donations to the Alzheimers Association be made in lieu of flowers.
