MAY ARCHIBALD MARCUM October 21, 1932 - September 6, 2013 May Archibald Marcum, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away September 6, 2013. She was 80 years old. She was born in Glendale, Idaho to Christian and Alta Larsen. She married the love of her life, Eugene Archibald, September 29, 1949. She took pride in raising her three boys in Utah. Later, the family relocated with the railroad to Pocatello. After Eugene's passing she went on to marry Chester Alfred Marcum in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 19, 1986. May's love for her children, grandchildren, and friends were unconditional. She was a talented ceramic maker/painter and quilter. She found joy in painting her ceramics and loved giving them to people to enjoy. She loved spending time in her yard and garden. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. May thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Larry Archibald of Pocatello and David Archibald of Pocatello; stepchildren, Delroy Marcum of Helena, Dan Marcum of Texas, Fred Marcum of Idaho Falls, and Berdeanna Plooster of Pocatello; sisters, Ladeen Bingham and Emma Kay Hunt and brother John Larsen; 3 grandchildren Sonya Morrison of Pocatello, Alan Archibald of Pocatello, and Tracy Gunderson of Pocatello; 9 great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren. May is preceded in death by; her first husband, Eugene Archibald, her second husband; Alfred Marcum, her son Dale Archibald, her parents, a brother, and two sisters. The family would like to say a special thank you to the caring staff at Highland Hills Assisted Living Center for the love and care they gave to May. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave.
