Maxine M Baird

August 6, 1944 — September 21, 2008

CHUBBUCK " Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend crossed the threshold between this life and the next on Sunday September 21, 2008. Born Maxine M. Martin on August 6th, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her and her family then moved to Pocatello, ID where she lived from her childhood on.

Maxine was known for her loving nature and her giving dedication to her family, church, and community. Maxine's many achievements included owning and operating the first costume, balloon and party shop here in Pocatello. She also published a number of magazines and worked nationally in the celebration industry as an educator and designer. Maxine loved being at community events and face painting children. She loved the children who flocked to her booth and always tried to take the time to visit with each one and make them feel special. More than anything Maxine lead a life of sacrifice by pouring all she had into her family, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the community and charity projects. She was always taking care of others first. Her loving spirit and gracious heart will be deeply missed by all. If you would like to help the family, donations can be made to Wilks Funeral Home to cover the cost of funeral expenses.

Maxine is survived by her devoted and loving husband Joseph E. Baird, her mother Doris Cushman, and sisters Billy Kay Leath and Deborah Ann Ronchetti and her husband William. Maxine also leaves behind her children and stepchildren: Valorie Traughber, Steve and Shawna Traughber, Andrew and Rhewa Baird, Amyah and Ben Erickson, Alecia and Dale Shane, Aaron Baird, Adam and Lisa Baird, and Amanda Baird. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: James and Savannah Haddock, Gabriel Moran Traughber, Elijah, Paislyanna, and Malyon Baird, Alaina and Lilly Erickson, Chadwick Morris Shane, and Ryan Jeppson.
