Maxine E. Hopkins

IDAHO FALLS - Maxine Eleanor Hopkins, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 12, 2010 at a local care facility. Maxine was born to Jack and Susan Farris on February 7,1931 in Morris, Oklahoma where she lived her younger years. She moved to Roseburg, Oregon with her family as a teenager.

She later married Marshall Matthews in May of 1951. They had four children together. She later married Harold Griffin in June of 1975. They were very active in the LDS Church and enjoyed working in the Temple in Idaho Falls. In 1989 they served a Mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Harold Passed away in 1997. In September of 1998 she married Arlo Hopkins of Soda Springs, Idaho. They made their home there and enjoyed grandchildren and outdoor activities together until he passed away in 2008.

Maxine is survived by her sister, Donna Richardson, 4 children; Mark Mansfield, Marcy McCarthy (Rob), Mari Hobbs, Maxine Hopkins, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Farris and Richard Farris and two great grandchildren, Neveah Hopkins and Shian DeVisser.
