Matthew was born June 12, 1983. He was the fourth child to Jim and Lydia McInelly and joined his sister Elizabeth (Libby), and brothers Jimmy and Brian. Matt was sweet and very lovable but always knew what he wanted.
Although school was not his favorite activity, he graduated from Century High School in 2001 and went into the U.S. Army in July 2001. Matt always wanted to serve the country he loved. He did two tours in Iraq. While in Germany he was blessed with a daughter Julia.
Matt returned to the United States and tried to resume a "normal" life. All he was looking for was a simple life with a wife that loved him and kids. His needs were simple and few. He liked driving truck but missed home. He came back to his love Kendra and children Addie, Terra, William, and Asher. Matt and Kendra where married on March 3, 2020. He couldn't have loved his new family more.
Matt died on March 23, 2021, after a long battle with PTSD. We loved him so much. We will miss him until the day we are lucky enough to be reunited again.
A special thank you to the AM Vets and his buddies that did their best to help him through a difficult time. We thank you all for trying.
