Mary Frances Paige, age 80, passed away peacefully at home Friday, September 6, 2013. She was born August 24, 1933 in Goldwaithe Texas, the youngest of 6 children of Whit and Maude Berry. She spent her early years there until 1942 when she moved to the Methodist Home in Waco with an older sister. In 1947 both sisters moved to Idaho to live with their oldest sister and brother-in-law. They spent a year in Declo before moving to Rupert where she graduated from high school. She moved with her sister and brother-in-law to Pocatello where she began nurses training, graduating in 1953 as an R.N. She married Eldon L. Paige February 13 1953, residing in Pocatello except for a brief stay at Fort Ord, California. To this union four children were born - Pamela Butler, Robert Paige, Carol Sue Mecham, and John (Teresa) Paige. She worked at a doctor's office, St. Anthony Hospital, Bannock Hospital, INEL, and Bannock Nursing Home before retiring. Her hobbies included crochet and spending time with family. She was a member of NARFE and served as the Sunshine Committee for 23 years. She was a member of the LDS Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by all four children, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 older sisters, 2 older brothers, 2 special brothers-in-law and her husband who died in 1984. Funeral services will be as requested - graveside in Mountainview Cemetery, Section 50 West on Wednesday at 11 AM. Condolences may be left online with Colonial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or to the charity of your choice.
