Mary Catherine Gibson

Mary Catherine Gibson, 26, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her home. Mary Catherine was born June 2, 1994, in Dunwoody, Georgia and raised in and around the Atlanta, Georgia area. After graduating from high school, Mary Catherine relocated to Idaho, residing in McCammon and Pocatello. She worked at Convergys, All State and most recently, at Geraldines Bakery, all in Pocatello and Chubbuck. Mary Catherine was an avid baker and was very proud that her family and friends enjoyed her baked goods. She loved camping, fishing, and all the outdoor activities in Idaho. She was also an avid animal lover from the time she was a child. She is survived by her father, Roger (Nancy) Gibson of Pocatello, ID; her mother, Jan Deaton Gibson of Dawsonville, GA; grandfather and grandmother, Andy and Jane Deaton of Cumming, GA; and grandmother, Marilyn Walker of Canandaigua, NY; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Gibson. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Due to COVID, the family requests that everyone who plans to attend needs to please wear a mask and follow the 6' social distancing protocol. Funeral services will be held in Georgia.
