Marthalu K. Jackson

December 2, 1933 — April 23, 2013

Our sweet wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother Marthalu K Jackson, was reunited with her husband, Velbert Jackson, on April 24, 2013, in Pocatello, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 2, 1933, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Alfred W. and Ruth M. Kynaston. She spent her life in the Pocatello area. She attended Pocatello High School where she met the love of her life, Velbert. They were married on March 22, 1951.

Marthalu worked along side her husband for many years. In 1957 they opened and operated, Jacksons Chevron, on the corner of Maple and Yellowstone. In 1962 they moved to the corner of Yellowstone and Chubbuck and opened Jackson's American.

Marthalu enjoyed sewing, bowling, snowmobiling, boating, and spending family time at their cabin in island park. Later in life, she enjoyed spending the winters traveling south with her sweetheart. She loved to spend time with her grand and great grand kids. She even delights in having grand-puppies.

She is survived by her daughters Debra K. (Michael) Driever, Linda S. (Jim) Blaylock; son, Michael V. (Mary) Jackson; grandchildren, Jarvey L. Hall Jr., Trisha (Jason) Combes, Staci (Triston) Fowler, Mikel K. Driever, Shaughn M. Jackson; great-grandchildren, Echo Rochelle Hall, Todd J. Fowler, Kylie Jo Fowler, Andrew J. Combes, Lexie “Lu” Fowler, Megan E. Combes, and Mitchell L. Hall; Sister, Shirley (Bill) Hunziker.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Velbert E. Jackson; Her mother and father; Brother, Kenneth “Laverne” Kynaston.
