Marlin Lloyd Bowman, 80 passed away peacefully at home June 26, 2016, following a valiant struggle with cancer.
Marlin was born May 26, 1936 in Pocatello to Elmer Lloyd and Wilma (Hill) Bowman. He was raised in Marsh Valley.
Marlin married his sweetheart, Jolene Evans on December 9, 1955.
Marlin enjoyed 4-wheeling, chariot racing, and spending time at his cabin in Leadore. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses from Alliance Hospice for the care they offered; their efforts will always be cherished.
Marlin is survived by his sons, Doug (Shirley) Bowman, Pocatello; Weldon Bowman, Pocatello; a brother, Dale (Sue Ann) Bowman, Inkom; three granddaughters, Hollie Hieb, Twin Falls; Lacey Bowman, Twin Falls; and Kaitlin (Cade) Gilbert, Rockford, Idaho; and five great-grandchildren.
Marlin was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate, Jolene Bowman; parents, Elmer and Wilma Bowman; son, Brent Bowman; and a brother, Weldon H. Bowman.
A simple graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Arimo Cemetery, 305 So. Front Road, Arimo, ID 83214. His arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road.
