Marlene L Scott, 71, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was born in Rexburg, Idaho on October 1, 1949.
Marlene graduated from Madison High School in 1967. She then attended LDS business college in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1973.

On August 30, 1974, Marlene married the love of her life, John E Scott. They were married for 30 years and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on December 23, 2005.

While in high school, Marlene worked at Shirley’s Burgers, for two summers, then from 1972-1985 at First Security Bank as a loan officer in St. Anthony & Pocatello, and finally at Citizens Community Bank from 2005 through 2014 in Pocatello, Idaho. Marlene was involved in school PTA and fundraisers. She belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a temple worker from 2007-2009. She also served in various capacities including Primary President, Young Women’s President, and in the Relief Society.

Marlene loved her family more than anything in the world! She enjoyed bowling, tennis, and was a big ISU sports fan (football, basketball, and tennis). Her favorite thing to do was to watch her kids and grandkids play sports and be involved in all school and social activities.

Marlene is survived by her son, Ryan (Annie) Scott of Kuna, ID; daughter, Hayli (Brad) Sigler of Pocatello, ID; granddaughters, Blakely Harris and Ari Harris, grandson, Cortland Harris, granddaughters, Brooklyn Scott and Bentley Scott; a sister, Barbara Bell of Rexburg, ID and a brother, Leland Weatherston of Lewiston, UT.

She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Leo Weatherston, mother, Hazel Weatherston, and her spouse, John E Scott.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Juniper Hills Ward Chapel, 8200 W. Portneuf Road Pocatello, Idaho.
Burial will follow at the Plano Cemetery in Rexburg, Idaho.
