Mark Fullmer

Mark Fullmer passed from this life on August 8, 2016. He was 86 years old. Mark was raised in the Riverside area of Blackfoot. He was the fourth son of Glen and Olga Fullmer. At the age of 14 Mark lost his father and quit school to run the family farm.

Mark moved to Pocatello in 1948 when he married Ramona Mecham in Blackfoot, Idaho. In May 1964 they were married for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had six children Peggy (John) Ellis, Dennis (Susan), Randy (Steven), Gary (Diane), Rocky (Vicky) and Sherry (Donnie) Eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren

Mark worked as a milkman, at Kraft's Foods, Joe's Chevron, Lyle Leslie Sinclair, hauled mail for Aberdeen Valley Stages and drove bus to L:amb Weston and his last 25 working years was at Cowboy Oil where he delivered home fuel oil and propane to residential and business customers.
Mark was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served as Scout Master, Elder Quorum Presidency and a variety of callings.

Mark retired in in 1991 providing him with more time to spend with his family. He enjoyed camping, family parties, and being involved in all of the family projects no matter who needed his help he was there.

After retiring Mark worked at Fullmer's Automotive with his oldest son and he was the best customer service representative Dennis had in his shop. All of the customers loved Mark's friendly and outgoing attitude.

Mark truly enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved making them homemade root beer, giving them a dollar when they were leaving to buy a treat. He gave them treats when the folks said no but he would smile and say it was okay. Trips to Salt Lake to see the Ice Capades. Cooking over outdoor fires on wash machine lids.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and a great granddaughter. Services will be held on Saturday August 13, 2016 at the LDS Church on Jefferson and Walnut at 2 p.m. family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. A viewing will be held on Friday August 12 7-8:30 pm at Wilks Funeral Home. Interment will be at Groveland Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
