Marion Munsee, born Marion Helen Coleby, 79, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior, Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Spring Creek Assisted Living Center in American Falls. On what would have been her 61st Wedding Anniversary, Marion passed through the veil, to join her beloved husband, Gary, as they take their next steps into eternity. She was born November 1, 1937 in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. She was the only child of Leslie Howard Charles Coleby and Bessie Maria Gowing. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Gary Munsee, and a loving mother to their four children. She enjoyed cooking, writing, knitting, sewing and caring for all those around her. A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marion held many positions; Primary President, Stake MIA, Organist, but her favorites by far were Sunday School Teacher and Relief Society President. She and her husband served a mission for the church, working in the Presidents office in the Pocatello, Idaho Mission. Marion and Gary were also great sports enthusiasts spending many happy hours as Poky Priders and watching BYU Football. During her childhood years Marion lived through the rough years of World War II in heavily bombed, England. Spending her nights in Bomb shelters and carrying her Mickey Mouse gas mask wherever she went. Marion was a fine student continuing on to higher training after finishing her regular school years. She met Gary Munsee a handsome American Serviceman at church one Sunday and was reported to have told her father to lock the door and not let him out. She was smitten with his athletic demeanor, curly hair and beautiful blue eyes. They were married August 25, 1956 in England and soon after they left England to come to America. Knowing no one in America Marion settled down to married life and soon went to work for Idaho Bank & Trust, working there both before and after her children were born. Later IB&T became Keybank and she became the Manager of the East Center Branch retiring as the manager for all the student loans in the state. Marion is survived by her four children, Jolene (Doug) Clinger, American Falls, Lisa Munsee, Pocatello, Todd Munsee, Pocatello, Craig (Janet) Munsee, Philomath, Oregon; ten grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren.
