ARIZONA-Marilyn Hammond 83, of Chandler, Arizona died Tuesday, August 8 th after an extended illness. Marilyn was born July 9 th, 1928 in ST. Anthony Idaho to Lewis and Ivie Potter. She was raised in Welford, along the Teton River and graduated from St. Anthony High School. After High school she moved to Pocatello to live with her sister, Wayne. There she was employed by the telephone company. She married L. Don Hammond on August 23 rd 1948 in Jackson Hole Wyoming. They shared 63 years of adventure. She was a resident of Pocatello until October 2009 when they moved to Phoenix Arizona to be closer to their son and his family. She is survived by her Husband L. Don Hammond; son, Paul L. Hammond and brother Frank Potter and sister Wayne Howes; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two bothers Weston and Gary Potter. She will be remembered for her many talents ,cooking , golf, tennis, training horses, playing the piano, singing and her beautiful paintings. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bannock LDS Chapel located at 5425 Old Bannock Highway. There will be a visitation only at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. [mappress mapid="4"]
