Marilyn Delores Stephens passed away peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2018. Marilyn was born April 5, 1954 to Marvin and Frances Stephens. She grew up in Pocatello and attended several schools in the area. She lived in town most of her life and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Marilyn was married to David Cobia for a short time and later married Dennis Dorr.
Marilyn was a member of the Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witness church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing the accordion, piano and singing. She was also in a band at one time. She also enjoyed embroidering and loved to laugh, dance, and sing. She also loved homemade gifts, loved to cook and could make the most delicious cinnamon rolls. She was quite an accomplished cook.
Marilyn enjoyed life right up to the time that her health began to fail her.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters Sue Roberts of Pocatello, Idaho, Lois Stembridge of Granbury, Texas, and Lola Combs of Austin, Texas; son Gary Cobia of Clearfield, Utah; daughter Jennifer Reynolds and Pocatello, Idaho; nephew Johnny Reynolds of Seattle, Washington; and ex-husband David Cobia of Pocatello, Idaho.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Frances Stephens, sisters Lenava Reeves and Peggy Winters, nephew Kirk Roberts, both sets of grandparents, and her ex-husband Dennis Dorr.
As per her wishes no public services will be held.
