Marilyn Beck

Marilyn Beck went on her final journey Sunday, March 21, 2021. She was born to Roy Lee Getty and Leona (LeSieur) Getty on December 24, 1931 in Pocatello, Idaho. She had one older brother and an older sister. Marilyn attended elementary school, Irving Jr High and Pocatello High School. She married Rulon Beck in June 1949. Together they had five children: David, Debra, Diana and twins, Bret and Bart. She was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribe. She and Rulon were avid boaters and belonged to the snowmobile club. They ranched in Fort Hall, raising black angus cattle until Rulons death. Marilyn is survived by her children, David (Rose) Beck of Pocatello, Idaho, Debra Orison of Bellevue, Idaho, Bart (Lisa) Beck of Pocatello, Idaho, and Bret (Kelly) Beck of Boise, Idaho. She had 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Leona Getty; her husband, Rulon Beck; sister, Nettie Lee McCarley; brother, Bob Getty; and her daughter, Diana Scott. Per her wishes, she was cremated and will have a family gathering at a later date.
