Marie Huffaker

Marie Huffaker, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, after battling cancer for 7 years.

Marie was born February 18, 1944 in Rexburg, Idaho. She was the youngest of 11 children (7 brothers and 3 sisters). She grew up in Burton and Darlington, Idaho. She married Clyde Huffaker of Menan, Idaho. She was the mother of 6 children (4 daughters and 2 sons) and grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Family was everything to her. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed family activities, gardening, cooking, camping, and making jerky and candy She loved the outdoors.

Marie was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She was a woman of great faith and loved the Lord.

She had a contagious laugh and never complained during her struggle with cancer. She was a special lady who was loved by family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Zella Hope; two brothers, Darrell Hope and Lauris Hope; a granddaughter, Chelsey Huffaker; and a great-grand daughter, Adalyn Nielsen.

Marie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Clyde Huffaker; 4 daughters: Valerie Williams (Roy Williams), Ronda MacNeil, Sue Davies, and Danise Stringfield (Lloyd Stringfield), and two sons: DaRon Huffaker (Julie Huffaker) and David Huffaker (Kari Huffaker).

A viewing will be held Thursday, September 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nampa LDS North Stake Center at 6111 Birch Lane in Nampa, Idaho.

The memorial services will be held on Friday, September 26, at 11 a.m. at the same location. A viewing will start at 10 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com.
