Margerete Merrill

Margerete (Marge) Merrill, 91, passed away October 23, 2013. Marge was born June 18, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the oldest daughter of Frank and Margaret Parish. She attended East High School and Westminster College in Salt Lake City. In 1946 she married Wesley F. Merrill of Pocatello. As wife and mother, she was active in local civic and educational organizations, including the Bar Association and Pocatello Rotary Club Auxiliary. While raising her three children, Marge was an active leader in local PTAs, Boy Scouts, and Campfire Girls. She is survived by her three children, Terry D'Auray (Broomfield, CO), Parish Merrill (Walnut Creek, CA), Donald Merrill (Pocatello); and two grandchildren Jenny Merrill (Portland, OR) and Cindy Vigil (Arvada, CO). She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Kay Bryan (Salt Lake City, UT), and her husband of 58 years. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the many years of wonderful care Marge received at Hillcrest Haven and, more recently, at Monte Vista Healthcare Center.
