POCATELLO - Margaret Ann Barrett, 63, of Pocatello, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at her home. She was born on February 25, 1948, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Nathan Reece and Lorraine Barrett. She was a very good student in school and throughout her life. She attended Jefferson Elementary, Iriving Junior High, and Pocatello High School. After high school she attended two years at Ricks College then continued her education at Idaho State University and received her degree in Education. Margaret never married, but had a great love for her niece and three nephews, as well as the students she taught. She was employed at School District 25, where she taught 4 th and 5 th grades at Jefferson Elementary for over 20 years. Later she found an interest as the curator of the Bannock County Museum. Margaret was very active in the D.U.P and a member of the Bannock County Fair Board. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed reading, knitting, camping, and loved bowling. Margaret is survived by her mother Lorraine Barrett of Pocatello; sister LaReece (Terry) Stinger of Greenleaf, Idaho; niece Shanna (Aaron) Fehrs of Nampa, Idaho; nephew William (Sara) Stinger of Canton, Ohio; nephew Logan (Maggie) Stinger of Des Moines, Iowa; nephew Dallas (Roxy) Stinger of Moscow, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her father Reece Barrett and great-niece Catherine LaReece Stinger. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the Holman Ward Chapel, 4890 Whitaker Rd. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave, and also one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
