Madge Marie Parke

Madge M. Dopp Parke, 79 died on June 24, 2016 at her home. Madge was born on September 9, 1936 to Kenneth O. and Julia Johnson Dopp in Fruitvale Idaho. She attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from South Fremont High School. She also attended Business College in Idaho Falls.

On August 28, 1958 Madge married Lynn H. Parke in St Anthony. They lived in Pocatello and where their first daughter was born. After Pocatello, they lived in Nebraska and Colorado returning to Idaho in 1965. They lived in Boise where their second daughter was born.

In her many careers it was a joy for her to be able to help people. Madge enjoyed skiing, boating, and camping. She was a kind and generous person and a lifelong collector of strays--animals or kids, whoever she felt needed love. She loved traveling and visited many states and countries with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son. She is survived by her sister MaryLee Dopp and brother J. Dopp; her husband of 57 years Lynn Parke; her daughters Julie of Boise, Heather and son-inlaw Keith Speegle and two grand-children Hayden and Nicholes Speegle of Pocatello.
In lieu of flowers, Madge requested that donations be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch.

A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wilksfuneralhome.com.
