Madeline Stratten, 73, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at a local Medical Center. She was born on December 12, 1941 to Foster and Effie Neaman. She lived her entire life in Idaho where she loved the wildlife. She graduated from American Falls High School in 1963. Madeline married George E. Wesaw in September 1963 and the divorced in 1972. Through that marriage, there were five children. Later in life, she married Roy Stratten in 1974. Madeline was a hard worker. She worked for Lamb Weston for 34 plus years retiring in 2006. She was a member of the Native American Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Madeline enjoyed many of lifes gifts. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and star gazing; where she and Roy would watch the stars together. Her grandchildren were also a part of life that she enjoyed. She is survived by her husband, Roy W. Stratten of Pocatello, ID; Brothers, Leo Neaman Sr. and Melvin Neaman both of Arbon Valley, ID; children, Avery A. Wesaw of Arbon Valley, ID; two daughters, Georgelene (Lyle) Begay and Rosalind Wesaw both of Fort Hall, ID; grandchildren, Brant J. Hardy, Evan H. Hardy, Lamont T. Wesaw, Ieshia Wesaw, Keith Niedo, Isabel Niedo, Ashley Wesaw, Samantha Wesaw; and great-grandchild, Aurora K. Hardy; as well as numerous first cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Foster Neaman, and Effie Hardy Neaman; brothers, Wilford Neaman, Louis Neaman, Samuel Neaman; sisters, Lola G. Neaman, Mary L. Shay; daughter, Rosarena J. Wesaw and Rosarenas son, Wyatt (Grandson), and Madelines granddaughter, Kasheena M. Wesaw and Madelines twin grandsons, Marco M. Niedo and Ray J. Niedo; son, Shane J. Wesaw; and Nephew, Ezekiel Shay, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500 as well as for one hour prior to services on Friday. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. also at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
