Lynne Howard Brazle passed away peacefully at Easter sunrise, April 20, 2014 at the age of 72.
She was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on May 30, 1941 to Herbert H. Howard and Pauline G. (Hildreth) Howard. She was the older sister of three brothers. She attended school in Valparaiso, IN and graduated from Valparaiso High School. She and her family were members of First Baptist Church. She worked in Valparaiso as a visual merchandiser at Lowenstein's Department Store and then as a ward secretary at Porter Memorial Hospital. Lynne gave birth to twin children, Jennifer and Jeffrey Howard on December 11, 1965.
In 1968, she and her children moved to Spokane, Washington where she met the love of her life, Gary G. Brazle, a Survival Instructor in the United States Airforce. She and Gary were married 43 years until his passing last June of 2013. While in Spokane, Lynne continued to work as a ward secretary at Holy Family Hospital.
She and her family eventually moved back to Valparaiso and then on to Reno, Nevada where she and Gary spent the majority of their lives creating a beautiful place to call home. Lynne and Gary moved to Pocatello to be closer to family in 2010.
Lynne's artistic flair was demonstrated in her cooking, gardening, and interior home design. Those were her passions: she excelled beyond belief.
She delighted in music and theater of all genres. She would turn up the volume to uproarious levels when listening to her favorite artist, Sarah Brightman. Court TV was undeniably one of her best friends. In fact, if you interupted a trial with a visit or phone call she would immediately say, "Not now, I'm in court. Talk to you later. "
Her greatest love in life was spending time with her husband, Gary and spoiling her grandchildren. The grandchildren nicknamed her "Ted". Her favorite phrase was "never, never, never give up".
Lynne is survived by: her daughter, Jennifer Howard, Pocatello; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Howard, Booneville, AR; granddaughter, Emily Roberts, Pocatello; grandson, Drew Roberts, Pocatello; grandson, Geoffrey (Mary Lou) Roberts, currently serving in the US Army in Afghanistan; grandson, Wesley Howard, Pocatello; grandson, Brandon Wells, Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter, Ashley Cowell, Chula Vista, CA; great-granddaughter, Penny Lou Roberts, Hagerman, ID; brothers, Roger Howard, Long Beach, CA & Dennis (Barbara Russell) Howard; Spokane, WA.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Gary G. Brazle; daughter, Kimberly Brazle; mother, Pauline G. Howard; father, Herbert H. Howard; brother, Edward Howard; and her two favorite little bunnie; Fred and Groucho.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Alliance Home Health and Hospice, Pocatello Care and Rehabilitation, Savon Pharmacy (inside Albertson's), Maag's Pharmacy and Elegant Assisted Living. Thank You for all the wonderful care, service and warmth.
Per Lynne's request, there will be no funeral services. A memorial service will be announced at a later date for both Gary and Lynne Brazle. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com.
